About me

A lifelong connection with sailing.

I love the sea and sailing. From my first days on the water at ten to qualifying as an RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Ocean, my journey has been driven by a passion for sailing and a pleasure in sharing it.

It began at ten

I first went sailing at the age of ten, and the sea has remained a constant part of my life ever since. At sixteen, I began teaching sailing—an experience that taught me early on the value of listening, clear communication and helping others build confidence. I later obtained my Italian boating licence, continuing to turn a personal passion into sound, practical seamanship.

Sharing the sea

Over the years, I have worked with several sailing schools as a skipper and instructor, gaining experience aboard dinghies, keelboats, monohulls and catamarans up to 60 feet. My sailing has taken me across the Mediterranean and into the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. I sail because I love it, and I enjoy sharing an approach grounded in safety, sustainability and respect for the crew, the marine environment and everyone we share the water with.

03

Always learning

The desire to deepen my knowledge, sharpen my judgment at sea and grow as a skipper led me through the RYA/MCA qualification pathway, culminating in Yachtmaster Ocean. I believe in preparation, responsibility in command and learning throughout one’s sailing life. My aim is for everyone stepping ashore to look forward to sailing again—with new skills, lasting memories and a renewed desire to explore.

JMC / SAILING PHILOSOPHY

Every time I go to sea, I practise attention, judgment and responsibility.

My sailing philosophy

The sea asks us to be present.

Sailing, to me, means practising a few essential habits.

01

Preparation

Good seamanship begins long before casting off.

02

Safety and responsibility

Taking command means accepting responsibility for people, decisions and the boat.

03

Respect for the sea

A true sailor leaves no trace: navigating with respect for marine life, protecting the land of those who inhabit it, and honoring the rules of those who share it

04

Crew and teamwork

Trust is built through clear communication, listening and cooperation.

05

Exploration and learning

Every passage is an opportunity to learn and discover.
